Due to a technical problem the database behind the ATLAS@home boinc server was unavailable from around 14:30 UTC on Sunday until 9:00 UTC this morning. It is back up and running ok now. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Sorry, but you urgent need a much professioneller Server-Monitoring !

We have followed your request for more crunching power and asked other crunchers to come to Atlas and help you get your work done. They came and could do nothing usefull. Some have posted their frust in other Forums and are gone

If you can not install professionell Server Monitoring give us an email where we can request help if the Server has crashed again. But this E-Mail can not be Atlas.home@cern.ch because I have sent there several times a hint about a crashed Server and NOTHING has happened until Monday morning.

A very frustrated Yeti :-(

I understand your frustrations and it was unfortunate that this problem happened right after we asked for more volunteers. We also saw yesterday that there was a problem, however the database we use is a service outside of our control and it could not be fixed until this morning. This was very frustrating for us too. We are in discussions with the DB people on how we can get better support. Sorry again.
