Since i started to run the new multi core data sets, (i have a i7, windows 10, 64bit) some of them take a week to complete. Is this normal?
also they normally dont complete correctly, ends up being junk data that cant be used.

id post a pic if i could figure out how, do i need to use a photo share website?

I am having this same issue - my ATLAS@home tasks never seem to complete. At the moment, I have a Simulation 2.01 task running for 4d10h with no estimated remaining time.

I am also running Win10 with 16GB RAM, i7-6700T 2.8GHz CPU, 64bit.

I have never head any success running ATLAS through BOINC - which is strange, because all of the other projects I have been involved with have run seamlessly.

Geoff.

hi , dmazh ,

both single core and multicore disrupt.

Have you removed Hyper-V from your computer
You have to be connected permanently to internet to run tasks.
If Yes :

You may try to:
ask no more works in boinc client
quit boinc client
udpdate virtualbox with the last version 5.1.14 and the extension pack (same version)
open virtualbox and right click to delete all the virtual machines appearing with a red sign (they are not usable)(they are physicaly located in the slots directory in your boinc directory)(sometimes boinc doesn't succeed to delete the previous files used by previous tasks)
quit virtualbox
start boinc client
and resume work in boinc client.

Hope it helps you...
