Version 1.04 of the multicore app has been released with the following improvements:

- support for VirtualBox 5.1
- support for OS X (finally!)
- graphics (same as single core app)

Thank you for your continued support of ATLAS!

One multi-core wu running... going on 7%
That's better than 2 sec.
Let's see how far it will go.

Previous version would simply not work .

I completed 5 1.03 versions on my Linux box, plus one aborted. Now I am running 1.04, always on VB 5.1.2 and 5.1.4.

I can't receive any job. My GPU is ATI. On the properties menu, written, project has no applications for AMD/ATI GPU.

is it mean that I can't work on Atlas Project?[/img]

I had to abort my first 1.04 task on Linux. While the BOINC task was still running, all jobs crashed. Started a 2.01 task, running OK. I noticed the jobs referring to the IPV6 address only.

Multicore 1.04 seems to work fine with Virtualbox 5.1.x with my setup.

Various WUs done and validated ok.

Thanks a lot for taking care.

I had a similar problem. Must be some bad work units.

What irks me is that the BOINC task is still running while jobs crash. I reset the VM and they crash again.

I've been running atlas here for almost a month... lots of tasks completed but none uploaded.
I says it is waiting for connection but all other projects have no problem uploading anything.

Everything seems ok. But Still I can't receive any jobs. Is the problem that GPU is ATI?

And no any virtual machine. How can I add a new machine for Boinc?

Having Virtual Box installed is enough.
Boinc will automatically use it in the background.

Cerberus, what is not clear with this answer:

No GPU (AMD or Nvidia or Intel) can be used to crunch Atlas@Home work units. That is because Atlas uses Virtualbox to run a virtual machine on your computer within the actual calculations happen.
As far as i know (could be wrong) does Virtualbox not support any usage of (the full power of the) GPU for the guest sytem (in this case the Atlas@Home work units).
This means only your CPU will be used to crunch Atlas work units and you will never get (at this point at time) any GPU work units.

Maybe the "graphics" in this thread's title confuses you:
It does not mean that you can use your graphics card to support Atlas, it means that you can "watch" some graphics with your browser to better understand what Atlas does and what your computer is calculating.
