Hi, I am on Linux and with 2 jobs "Multiple core 1.04)" with in my pref "100% CPU 80% time CPU" (have 4 core), I just have 5 to 10% f usage CPU !!!

I have a similar problem. I have 12 cores but I've limited atlas to 4 in app_config.xml, because the original news item on this topic showed that to be the most efficient number - from the project's point of view.

But at the moment I have two 4-core atlas jobs running, with four other jobs for other projects, and my CPU load sits mostly at 50% and never goes above 62% (as shown by gkrellm). In other words four or five of my 12 cores are idle.

This is not good efficiency from my point of view, so I've now changed avg_ncpus to 1 in app_config.xml and updated; I'll see whether that improves anything.

(While I'm writing this, CPU load has gone down to 35-37%.)
