ATLAS request to port 25443
Recent ATLAS WUs generate the following request during startup:
"POST http://pandaserver.cern.ch:25443/server/panda/getStatus HTTP/1.1" 503 4767 "-" "curl/7.19.7 (x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.19.7 NSS/3.19.1 Basic ECC zlib/1.2.3 libidn/1.18 libssh2/1.4.2"
This request is denied by my firewall (HTTP code 503) as TCP port 25443 is not included in an official portlist and therefore the port is closed.
Any comments from the developers?

There was a recent update in the code that runs in ATLAS WU. It added this call to check with the central ATLAS database whether the task is still valid before starting to run it. It is mainly for the tasks running on the ATLAS Grid and not really relevant for ATLAS@Home, and failures are ignored so it should cause no problem if you want to continue to firewall this port.

Good to know.
Nevertheless, I got errors on this host under linux behind a site firewall, while LHC beauty tasks are working. Is it due to the firewall or is there another problem ?

Hi , AF>EDLS]GuL,
8) Atlas connects on different ports to their Servers as BOINC-Users are used. You will have to open these ports:
complete checklist version 2
sometimes with linux , you have to install virtualbox from the repository of your package distribution (not from boinc web site) and if you use a script ,fix a longer delay before boinc is going to start.
