Profile: Yeti

Your personal background.
Yeti is a cruncher since early times of Seti@Home and started to crunch in early 2000.

Since the first BOINC-Beta-Versions I'm crunching with BOINC and for a long time I took part at all available BOINC-Projects.

Since LHC@Home came out it became my favorite project, unfortunately it has only rarely a little work.

With growing number of projects running under BOINC I was looking for projects, that could have a result / a benefit in our times. Even if we could identify a signal from extraterrestrials in Seti@Home, we can for a long time still not communicate with them.

So, I Focus today on CERN. I'm running LHC, vLHC and Atlas and hopefully I help them with my little contribution.

Your opinions about ATLAS@Home
Well, as I'm focussing on CERN-Projects, LHC has only sometimes WUs, vLHC doesn't want too much WUs on the same PC I have to focus on Atlas and yes, I like it very much.

Atlas is one of the rare BOINC-Projects, that make really use of the existing Hardware, needing Prozessor-Virtualising, 64Bit operating System and 2,1 GB RAM / WU.
