Your personal background.
I grew up in Northwest Indiana and currently reside in Indianapolis (just don't blame us for Pence). I majored in Mathematics with a minor in physics and have remained fascinated by it ever since. I always wanted to contribute something to science and this is certainly one way that a "citizen scientist" as Scientific American puts it can do it.

I think this is an exciting time in physics and try to keep pace with it as best I can.

Stuck two Tesla M2090's in my latest machine partly to practice with parallel GPU computing, but they also make great platforms for BOINC when they are not doing other work.
Your opinions about ATLAS@Home
1. I find the ATLAS experiment to be the most interesting one at the LHC currently (that might change tomorrow) and I am glad to be of some small assistance on it.
